Present Duties
The mission of the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is to provide Oregonians with a safe, efficient transportation system that supports economic opportunity and livable communities. ODOT develops Oregon’s system of highways and bridges; supports public transit services, passenger rail, statewide freight systems, bicycle/pedestrian and other multimodal programs; and manages driver licensing and vehicle registration programs, motor carrier operations and transportation safety programs.
