Present Duties
The Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) mission is to provide Oregonians with a safe, efficient transportation system that supports economic opportunity and livable communities. ODOT is actively involved in developing Oregon’s system of highways and bridges, public transit services, rail passenger and freight systems, and bicycle and pedestrian paths. ODOT manages driver licensing and vehicle registration programs, motor carrier operations, and transportation safety programs.
