Present Duties

Medical Assistance Programs (MAP) oversees the Oregon Health Plan (OHP), Oregon’s innovative Medicaid program that has saved $15 billion in state and federal dollars over the past 18 years. MAP is responsible for the budget, policies and systems that support the “triple aim” of better health, better care and lower costs for services to OHP clients. Services are delivered locally through Coordinated Care Organizations, community-based networks of all types of health care providers that coordinate care for each OHP client. MAP also provides daily service to OHP clients, prospective clients, community partners, contracted health plans and providers.
