Duties and Responsibilities: Blue Mountain Recovery Center (BMRC) is a 60-bed inpatient adult mental health care facility in Pendleton, operated by the Oregon Health Authority's Addictions and Mental Health Division.
Located in the admission and treatment building of the former Eastern Oregon State Hospital, Blue Mountain Recovery Center was built in 1948. BMRC admits clients from all areas of the state and is the primary state hospital resource for Eastern Oregon. BMRC serves civilly committed individuals with severe and persistent mental illness who have been found to be a danger to themselves or others or are unable to care for their basic needs due to a mental illness. In addition, BMRC provides care and treatment for a small number of forensic clients who have close family ties in Eastern Oregon.

Duties and Responsibilities: Oregon State
Hospital (OSH) operates under the direction of the Oregon Health Authority’s Mental Health and Addictions Division.
Adults needing long-term intensive psychiatric treatment for severe and persistent mental illness who are civilly or criminally committed to OSH receive treatment at campuses in Salem and
Portland. The mission of OHS is to provide therapeutic, evidence-based, patient-centered treatment focusing on recovery and community reintegration, all in a safe environment.
