Duties and Responsibilities: The Nature of the Northwest Information Center is operated by the Department of Geology and Mineral Industries. The center provides “one-stop shopping” for natural resource, natural science, and outdoor recreation maps, books and brochures (some for sale, some free), which are primarily produced by state, federal and local government natural resource agencies.
